Michael:
Originally from
Canada, Michael started his career at The Elizabeth Arden Red Door salon in
Toronto. He quickly got a name for himself as a talented, versatile hairdresser, creating the latest trends and styles.
Over the years Michael has trained in New York with the world famous stylist John Sahag and attended many hairdressing training academies including Bumble & Bumble, Toni and Guy, Divachan and Elizabeth Arden Corporation.
Michael
owned
a very successful salon in Canada and was approached by John Frieda to be their Canadian Creative Consultant. He also wrote for many magazines, including Canadian Living, Elle Canada, Wedding Bells, Fashion 18, and appeared on the television series "Diva On A Dime" - turning locks from ho hum, to holy wow!
In 2006 Michael moved to the
UK and with the draw of
London too strong, he took a position at the exclusive Charles Worthington salon in Covent Garden, quickly moving up the ladder to take the high profile position at their
Dorchester Hotel salon as Head Stylist and Salon Manager. As hairdresser to the stars, Michael’s high-profile clients have included Sophie Dahl, Kimberly Stewart, Daphne Barak, Michelle Moon, to name a few.
After leaving Charles Worthington, Michael had a strong urge to get to know and experience the UK market at a local level and decided to take a position at L’Oreal Professionnel as their Technical Consultant. Whilst in this role, Michael was able to draw on his experiences of good and bad customer service whilst out in the field, so that today, Primp are able to raise the bar on excellence and listen to you, the customer, in what your beauty hopes and dreams are and help turn them into a reality.
